Another very successful CTC Saturday club was held at the Community Centre on Saturday 8th.  A large number of people turned out to sample delicious Chinese dumplings, vegetables, tofu and custard buns.  Many participants joined in the cooking and an even larger number of people enjoyed the eating!  We are so grateful to the team of volunteer chefs from North London Cares who ran this and so generously gave their time, skills and expertise.  After lunch we had a fun game of bingo, a raffle and a greeting card making workshop which was enjoyed by a wide range of participants.  People were making birthday cards, christening cards, new baby cards and many more.  We will definitely have a Christmas Card making session in the autumn since this will be a lovely opportunity to make some personalised, original and low cost Christmas Cards for family and friends.

Thanks to everyone who came, helped and enjoyed themselves!  This quote from one of our most active participants who is also struggling with serious health issues summarises what CTC is all about….

‘The change from being fully employed to being on long term sick leave made me feel useless and isolated.  Joining CTC has made me feel part of the world again and has restored my sense of self-worth’
