Chocs away….

Last Friday 10 of our CHAPS took a day trip to the RAF museum in Hendon. Organised by Juliet, our fantastic intern and accompanied by Laura, the new Over 50s Coordinator at the Abbey Centre, we took the bus from Abbey and travelled north together to Colindale. The exhibitions in the hangars were enormous so we stopped for a much-needed cup of tea and snacks in the cafe half way round surrounded by helicopters! Some of our favourite bits included the de Havilland Mosquito and the very interesting Pilots of the Caribbean exhibition. Some CHAPS, like Danny (pictured) even tried out a few planes…although he didn’t manage to get airborne! Despite the wind and rain, a great time was had by all. A big thank you to Juliet for a brilliant day.
