December’s Saturday Club and Christmas Market

The last Saturday Club of 2014 was a fun and festive affair!  After a delicious lunch of vegetable stew followed by mince pies and ice cream (courtesy of North London Cares and our CTC volunteer chefs), our members were treated to our first ever ‘CTC Community Christmas Market’.  Members and visitors had a chance to snap up a Christmas bargain from our selection of stalls set up in the foyer after lunch.  We had crochet work, bric-a-brac, cakes, biscuits, jewellery, mulled wine and books amongst others.  All the proceeds from the Christmas Market went to CTC and along with the usual Saturday Club raffle, we made nearly £250 – enough to pay for a couple of Saturday Clubs in the new year!  We’d like to thank all those who helped make this such a successful day by helping with Saturday Club, contributing to the raffle and the market, looking after a stall and generally helping out.  On a sadder note, this was Maria’s last Saturday Club as CTC Coordinator but don’t worry – Maria has assured us that she’ll be popping into Saturday Clubs in 2015 to see you all!
